Hello! Welcome to my blog and to another blog post! As the photos already reveal I will be talking about one of the most summer-ish products for me - L'Occitane's Verveine Outdoor Body Spray! As many of you already know, I love freshly scented products and they are especially in focus during summer months. I am currently trying out the new addition to the Verveine collection by L'Occitane, their new body spray!
If you like to use fresh scented and light products in general or if you are looking for something new this summer, I think this might just be it! The packaging of this product is simple, plastic transparent bottle with spray pump. The bottle is quite sturdy, so even if it falls on the tiles it will not break that easily, I can confirm this as I have dropped it a couple of times by now!
The bottle contains 100 ml of product, once opened the life span of this product is about 12 months, but with regular use you will finish this up way sooner, so no fear of product turning bad.
So what is it? It's a spray enriched with organic verbena from Provence, citronella grass and they also added a combination of essential oils. It's supposed to be used mostly on your body and not on your face. What it does is give your skin some refreshment and cools it down a bit, plus because of the fresh and energising scent it gives you the sense of freshness and cleanliness.
Why I like this product? Well, the obvious reason being that it smells amazing and really gives that fresh vibe. Like I've just been resting and have taken a fresh shower.. or when I've been very thirsty and I've made myself a big and cold lemonade on a hot summer day! This may seem a bit too poetic, but this is what I think of when I use this. It's a perfect relaxing product for everyday use or for special occasions. I have a feeling I will use this up before the summer ends. The liquid turns into a fine mist only if you spray from a bit of a distance, not just 10 cm, but a bit more. I also like it because this is a non greasy spray that doesn't leave any film on my skin and really dries quickly, enabling me to put on my clothes just a minute after spraying this all over me. The most common area I usually sprey this on are my hands and arms as I like to put them closer to my nose and smell this! The scent lingers on me quite long, I can smell it for about two hours on me, which is quite good, considering this is a body spray and not a perfume.
Also a big plus for all of you who have eternal struggles with mosquitos and other flying and biting thingies - this may also act as a natural repelant. The added essential oils of geranium, lavander, eucalyptus, verbena and lemongrass create a fresh and a bit sour scent, which can help repell bugs.
Verbena collection also includes deodorant, Eau freiche, Eau de Toilette, body salt scrub, shower gel, body lotion, clean hands gel, hand wash, hand cream gel, refreshing towelettes, extra gentle soap, foaming bath, hand lotion, conditionner and shampoo. Some of these products are called Citrus verbena, which are more citrusy scented and some are called just Verbena/Verveine. So if you will like the scent of this you have quite a selection of products to choose from. Personally I am tempted to get the shower gel and maybe later also Verveine Agrumes Eau Freiche/ Verbena Summer Fragrance!
